BIM/VDC

Charter Mechanical is a leader in the mechanical industry in leveraging BIM to implement advanced Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), creating ways to facilitate a streamlined approach to deliver mechanical system installations of the highest quality, on schedule, at the lowest possible cost.

Charter Mechanical uses the latest Autodesk design software platforms to design, model, and coordinate mechanical systems. Utilization of BIM and VDC tools and processes enable our teams to communicate ideas and opportunities with other project stakeholders through this visual medium.  This results in effective collaboration, and provides a chance for early decisions that will lead to reduction of installation conflicts and cost escalation, and improved quality of the final product and customer value.

Charter has developed advanced workflows that have improved our business processes.  Rapid and accurate creation of spool drawings for prefabrication provides multiple benefits from project schedule reduction, reduced manpower on-site, and improved quality.

We utilize experienced pipefitters and plumbers trained in the latest Autodesk platforms and VDC processes, and harness their depth and years of actual field experience to layout and detail the piping systems.

As your mechanical trade partner we pride ourselves on being proactive team members in the coordination and design assist process. Our staff will diligently work to resolve conflicts and look for solutions, with the goal of taking the project BIM to LOD 350 and greater.
